The Supreme Judicial Council of Iraq (Arabic: مجلس القضاء الأعلى العراقي) is the supreme administrative authority responsible for the affairs of the judiciary in Iraq. It is headed by Fa’iq Zaydan.

Establishment

The Supreme Judicial Council comprises:

  • President of the Court of Cassation
  • Vice-Chiefs of the Court of Cassation
  • Chief Prosecutor
  • Chairman of the Judicial Supervisory Authority
  • Chiefs of the Courts of Appeal

This Council was established under Article 87 of the Constitution of the Republic of Iraq in force.
