Caitríona Ruane MLA (b. Swinford, County Mayo) is a Sinn Féin politician in Northern Ireland. She is a member of the Northern Ireland Assembly for South Down.
Ruane is a former professional tennis player who lives in Carlingford, County Louth and is married with two children.
Caitríona was a prominent member of the Bring Them Home campaign for three men convicted in Colombia of training Marxist rebels.
She resides in the Republic of Ireland, yet allows her children to be sent to a Northern Ireland Grammar School. She wants to destroy the 11+ Exam which will resultantly destroy these grammar schools- but she doesnt mind, seeing shes got her children through the system. snide, hypoctricial cow
