Algund (Lagundo) (Italian: Lagundo; German: Algund) is a comune (municipality) in the Autonomous Province of Bolzano-Bozen in the Italian region of Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, located about 70 km north of Trento and about 25 km northwest of Bolzano (Bozen). As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 4,228 and an area of 23.6 km².
The municipality of Algund (Lagundo) contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Forst (Foresta), Riolagundo, Plars di Mezzo, Riomolino, Plars di Sopra, and Velloi.
Algund (Lagundo) borders the following municipalities: Lana, Marling (Marlengo), Merano (Meran), Naturns (Naturno), Partschins (Parcines), Plaus, and Tirol (Tirolo).
