List of common misconceptions

A misconception is what is widely held to be a belief but isn't. A disputed fact is one where no one really knows the real truth.

Examples of either

That Bigfoot exists.
That the Loch Ness Monster exists.
That Saturn is the only planet with rings.
That Queen Victoria was only married once. (She may have been married to John Brown).
That the Yeti exists.
