Medal to be reassigned, or to be vacated?
It is not at all clear that Thanou will be awarded Marion Jones' gold medal. The IOC can refuse to issue a gold medal. This is a real possibility given Thanou's doping conviction. Please see link below. http://www.foxsports.com.au/story/0,8659,22559550-23218,00.html 14:54, 10 October 2007 (UTC)
I have reverted the medal "upgrades" made by an anon-IP editor. Until she is awarded any such medals by the relevant authorities the page should reflect what she won originally. John Smith's 18:03, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
2008 Olympian
