PLEASE NOTE: I, NightCrawler, have never attacked anybody at Misplaced Pages, the record of contributions will show hard work creating quality non-copyright violated articles to the best of abilities and go about fixing numerous links, inserting full birth/death dates when only a year is listed and then posting that info to the “year” page. Nightcrawler never interferes in others work, ever. However, while NightCrawler never has and never will attack anybody, this User most certainly will respond forcefully to an attack on me through lies, innuendo or other conduct unacceptable to Misplaced Pages policy. Thank you for showing respect to ALL Misplaced Pages users.

Judging from style, behavior and similarity in controversies, I have suspected for quite some time that User:NightCrawler and hard-banned User:DW are one and the same person. I was willing to let it go for a while since there didn't seem to be too many problems, but now I see this person is driving off good new contributors (see User talk:Petermanchester. Could developers look into IP comparison to confirm or deny this suspicion? Thank you. - Hephaestos 17:08, 14 Nov 2003 (UTC)

(From User talk:NightCrawler) Hi again Nightcrawler.

I am afraid that your edits on Misplaced Pages lead me to suspect that you may be the user formerly known as "DW". This need not be a serious problem. However, I have previously discussed the issues you raise on my talk page with DW, and do not wish to waste my time repeating myself. Therefore, I regret that I cannot give you the answer to the questions you seek. If I see evidence that the two of you are in fact different people, then I will of course be delighted to reply at that point.

In any case, thank you for the feedback, whoever you may be, and my apologies for any inconvenience this may cause. Martin 20:19, 14 Nov 2003 (UTC)

CEASE AND DESIST NOTICE For some reason Nightcrawler keeps on citing me as a source for his issues relating to copyright. I have not consulted with this user under this name or any other name. I am not Misplaced Pages's lawyer, I am just a lawyer who uses Misplaced Pages, nothing I say is a legal opinion and I do not wish to be cited as authority. I never gave my consent to be cited as such and I herewith give the following cease and desist notice: Do not cite me as authority for any statement regarding fair use. These actions will not be tolerated. Thank you in advance for your cooperation. — Alex756 03:51, 15 Nov 2003 (UTC)

Re your CEASE AND DESIST NOTICE - The writings you gave to Misplaced Pages are now permanent and I referred to your writings and others at Misplaced Pages as a guide for users which one must assume was your intention otherwise why did you write it and declare yourself as a qualified attorney in so doing. I am just one of several, including two or more sysops who have referred to your writings. NightCrawler

From User talk:Angela - the following was posted by User:Petermanchester after he deleted everything and said he was leaving. NightCrawler 01:23, 15 Nov 2003 (UTC) - - Suspicious page - Indirectly In connection with a recent controversy concerning a certain user, and also an allegation that he/she might in fact be the banned user "DW", I did some investigation of hits on my own site. - - The IP address 195.92.168.172 was found in connection with the search string: - - http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=%22s+o+e%22&ie=ISO-8859-1&hl=en&btnG=Google+Search&meta=cr%3DcountryUK%7CcountryGB - - I find that the page User talk:195.92.168.172 exists, created on 13th May 2003 at 12:52 by someone with IP address 218.244.58.21 - - The page User talk:195.92.168.172 contains some oriental text in which the english text 'SQLWorm' is embedded. - - I do not know for certain whether this should be regarded as suspicious, but as a programmer, my instincts tell me that it is, and I wonder if it may be connected in any way with a server crash which occured recently. - - Please investigate. - - (I just realised that's a really silly suggestion) User:Petermanchester
