Arabian Prince
Musical artist

Arabian Prince is the stage name of Mik Lezan (born October 12, 1964 in Inglewood, California), a rapper and hip hop producer, best known for being an original member of the legendary rap group, N.W.A.

Biography

Born and raised in Inglewood, California, Arabian Prince released a solo album Situation Hot in 1985. In the following year, Arabian Prince joined up with the first gangsta rap group N.W.A. three years after graduating Inglewood High School in Inglewood, CA. He wanted to be an artist in N.W.A. but when fellow member Ice Cube came back from Arizona University in 1988, he found himself as a useless member because Eazy-E, Ice Cube and MC Ren (added two weeks before Arabian Prince left the group) were the main performers in band, DJ Yella was useful as a turntablist and Dr. Dre was mainly a producer.

After leaving N.W.A., Arabian Prince continued a solo career. Wasting very little time, he dropped his second album Brother Arab in 1989. This album wasn't very successful so he started working with his second band Bobby Jimmy & the Critters. In 1990, his band released the albums The Best of Bobby Jimmy and the Critters and Hip Hop Prankster under K-Tel Records and Priority Records. In 1991, the band released "Erotic Psychotic" album which was the last album. Bobby Jimmy & the Critters were disbanded in 1991, the same year when N.W.A. was disbanded. Arabian Prince continued a solo career again and he released his third album Where's My Bythces in 1993, which was his last album.

Arabian Prince has reappeared producing video games for FOX Interactive and Vivendi Universal around the year 2000 and currently owns a 3D animation studio and video game production company .

He recently started releasing music again with his Professor X project on the Dutch label Clone records. In 2007, he performed as a DJ on the 2K Sports Holiday Bounce Tour with artists from the Stones Throw label.
