CatDog is an animated cartoon on Nickelodeon created by Peter Hannan. It premiered in 1998 and tells the story of two brothers - suave, intelligent Cat and dumb, optimistic Dog, who share the same body. It was cancelled by Nickelodeon in 2001, according to IMDB.

CatDog always get into trouble with the "Greasers". The gang is formed by three dogs, the boss is Cliff, the other two followers are Lube (dumb dog) and Shriek (the female). They lived in a house shaped like a fish and a bone in the town of Nearburg, which they shared with Winslow Oddfellow, a blue mouse-like creature.

Characters

  • Cat likes to relax and enjoy the simple things in life, such as gourmet food and classical music. He pretends to be smart, but he truly is little smarter than Dog. Dog and his 'unsophisticated' habits such as chasing garbage trucks and messy table manners.
  • Dog is quite gullible, but seems to do better at many activities than Cat, most likely due to his happy-go-lucky personality and can often be a great source of advice (despite his obvious stupidity in many situations).
  • Winslow is the creature that lives in CatDog's house. He claims he's not a mouse (despite the fact that he obviously is), but this is only so that Cat will let him survive.
  • Cliff is one of the three Greaser Dogs. He appears to be the leader of the group. He is prone to violent behavior. That behavior is most often directed toward Cat.
  • Shriek is the second of the three Greaser Dogs. She has a loud, squeaky voice. She puts up a tough front, but her true soft sopt is revealed in several episodes through her affection to Dog.
  • Lube is the final Greaser Dog. He is by far the dumbest. He is generally very sheepish, in that he always follows along with the others, no matter what.
  • Rancid Rabbit is the Mayor of CatDog's town, and tends to make lots of unexpected appearences. He is a dominating figure, always on the lookout for someone stepping out of line in any way. He enjoys dishing out unfair punishmants, and the suffering that he is able to cause.
  • Eddie the Squirrel is a hyper squirrel who wants nothing more than to join the Greasers. Unfortunately, he can't because 1) he's not a dog and 2)he's very, VERY annoying. He is very sheepish, similarly to Lube.
