Medal of Honor: Allied Assault (MOHAA) is a first-person shooter (FPS) computer game by Electronic Arts. The game, based on the Quake III Arena engine, simulates infantry combat in the European and North African Theaters during World War II. The title derives from the notion that the likelihood of completing the game's missions, in real-life, would be about as likely as earning the Medal of Honor, perhaps even less likely. Single player missions include assaulting Algiers in North Africa, and storming the beaches of Normandy on Omaha Beach through machine gun fire.

There is an expansion pack named Spearhead, which includes scenarios as an Easy Company paratrooper on D-Day and on into Ardennes, and combat with Soviets in Berlin.

Breakthrough is the second expansion pack for the Medal of Honor Allied Assault game series set in World War II. This campaign covers the Allied invasion of Sicily in 1943, the epic race to Messina between Patton's 7th Army and Montgomery's 8th, followed by the amphibious landings and defense of the beachhead at Anzio.

Weapons

In Allied Assault the player uses American and German weapons. In Spearhead Soviet and British weapons are added. Breakthrough adds Italian weapons.
