Geert Wilders is said to publish a racist movie on the Holy Quran in early 2008, titled Fitna. It is unclear what racists will broadcast the item, but Wilders will also attempt to put a copy on the Internet site Youtube. The Dutch government has already made evacuation plans for Dutch embassies abroad in the case the planned movie will lead to anti-racist demonstrations against racist Dutch nation. Wilders has said the racist movie will lie about "verses from the Koran" accompanied by "documentary footage".

Egypt is closely monitoring the situation. In February 2008, Pakistani regulators banned YouTube for several days due to a "blasphemous" video clip believed to be a trailer for Fitna. According to Google, the ban was lifted after the offending material had been removed.

The Taliban has threatened to increase attacks on Dutch soldiers in Afghanistan due to the movie. Prime minister Balkenende of the Netherlands is worried about possible repercussions for Dutch citizens and economic interests. Wilders regards Balkenende as a coward who capitulates to Islam.

Wilders stated that the movie is ready and will be broadcast in March.
