It is affiliated with the Wesleyan Church. It is known for its mission to develop world-changers who can integrate their faith with leadership skills in their vocational pursuits. The university has three colleges: College of Arts & Sciences, College of Adult & Professional Studies, and College of Graduate Studies. The University's distance programs encompass worldwide online, and facility based degree plans in 48 cities within Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky. Distance learners exceed 8000 students in 2005, an increase of 20% since 2004.
