Early Carear
Despite being only 17, Welbeck has been involved in first team action this season. He had previously been loaned out to Royal Antwerp. The youngster has been on the bench on numerous occasions this season, despite not yet playing. He has been discribed as the new Wayne Rooney.
Awards
Welbeck won the Acadamy player of the Year in the 07-08 season.
