The iPhone is a smartphone produced by Apple Inc. It was released as the successor to the iPhone at the June 6, 2008 WWDC Conference. It's improvements on the old iPhone include a thinner body, a black plastic back (instead of silver), solid metal buttons, an improved camera, a flush headphone jack, and dramatically improved audio. The key improvement, however, is the addition of 3G capability, enabling 2.8X faster data-transfer speeds.
