Floyd Mayweather Jr had been ranked number-one in The Ring's P4P rankings from 2005 until he announced his retirement on June 6, 2008, after which he was replaced by Manny Pacquiao. Floyd Mayweather Jr was preceded by Bernard Hopkins, who was in turn preceded by Roy Jones Jr.
