Detox is the long awaited, but currently unreleased "final" album by Dr. Dre. It is due for release sometime in late 2005, but has no official due date yet. The album was delayed as of early 2004 because of some changes and production duties on Ice Cube's new album which has not been released. There have also been rumors that the famous producer had completed the album some time back but was unsatisfied with it, and instead sold the beats to now G-Unit rival The Game (rapper).

As this album is expected to be Dre's last, it is also expected to be one of the greatest albums of our time. Most people expect such rappers as Snoop Dogg, Eminem, 50 Cent, G-Unit, and many other famous rappers/groups to all take a part in the album.

Earlier this year (2005) Dre said that the Detox Album will be set out for an autumn release but this is not definite yet. An October release is currently the most likely.
