Trivium is an American heavy metal band formed in 2000.. As of 2008 they have released four studio albums, one extended play, five singles, and ten music videos.

Trivium signed with German label Lifeforce Records to release the Ember to Inferno album in October 2003 with a line-up of vocalist/guitarist Matt Heafy, bassist Brent Young, and drummer Travis Smith. Trivium then and replaced Young with Paolo Gregoletto, adding Corey Beaulieu on guitar. The band signed with Roadrunner Records to release the Ascendancy album in March 2005, which peaked at #4 on the Heatseeker chart. In 2006, they released their third studio album, The Crusade, which peaked at #7 in the UK. In September 2008 Trivium released Shogun, peaking at #23 in the USA..
