"The Trouble with Love Is" is the fourth and final single from pop rock singer Kelly Clarkson's debut album, Thankful.

The single is most remembered for being Clarkson's most successful single off her debut album, Thankful. It is also the love theme in the movie, Love Actually. It was co-written by Clarkson, Evan Rogers, and Carl Sturken and co-produced by Rogers and Sturken. A bluesy number, it has Clarkson explaining how love can be wonderful but also what the trouble with love is.

Clarkson had been pressing for other singles choices from the album, but following the mediocre performance of "Low" and the success of the ballad "A Moment Like This", her label felt she needed to go back to ballads. Their predictions confirmed true as the single was a smash hit peaking at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The song was released as a double A-side in the United Kingdom with "Low", and not surprisingly it also was an immediate success, peaking at number five.
