Requests for arbitration
Shortcuts
About this page Use this page to request the committee open an arbitration case. To be accepted, an arbitration request needs 4 net votes to "accept" (or a majority). Arbitration is a last resort. WP:DR lists the other, escalating processes that should be used before arbitration. The committee will decline premature requests. Requests may be referred to as "case requests" or "RFARs"; once opened, they become "cases". Before requesting arbitration, read the arbitration guide to case requests. Then click the button below. Complete the instructions quickly; requests incomplete for over an hour may be removed. Consider preparing the request in your userspace. To request enforcement of an existing arbitration ruling, see Misplaced Pages:Arbitration/Requests/Enforcement. To clarify or change an existing arbitration ruling, see Misplaced Pages:Arbitration/Requests/Clarification and Amendment.
Guidance on participation and word limits Unlike many venues on Misplaced Pages, ArbCom imposes word limits. Please observe the below notes on complying with word limits.

Statement by MysteMyst
I hope I'm doing this right. I have a complaint about my edit being deleted on the June 24 page. Nowhere does it state that the June 24 page is just for famous people born on that day. All the information I provided was true and verifiable. It was my understanding that Misplaced Pages was created for regular people. I'm a regular person and would like to place my information there. I took a snapshot of the page so no one can go edit it and then place famous people only on it, it wouldn't be fair to the rest of us regular people. Thank you Misste born June 24

Clerk notes
- This area is used for notes by non-recused Clerks.
Formatting fixed. Myste, I would recommend you speak with the person who reverted your edit, who you can find in the page history (the "history" tab at the top of the article). You may also want to see our guidelines about notability, our general guideline for including subjects here on Misplaced Pages. Welcome to the project, though. Hersfold 17:16, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
- For the Arb's info, I have left a detailed explanation of the situation on the filer's talk page. I'll probably recuse from further involvement with this. Hersfold 03:12, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
Arbitrators' opinion on hearing this matter (0/6/0/0)
- Decline; I'm afraid you have picked the wrong venue, MysteMyst. This committee primarily examines behavioral issues once normal means of dispute resolution have been exhausted. A content dispute, such as yours, is normally handled within the community itself; you might want to examine the option of third opinions, for instance, or simply enter into discussion with the editor that removed your addition who may be able to explain our (admittedly sometimes arcane) content policies better. — Coren 03:08, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
- Decline per Coren. Wizardman 03:10, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
- Decline as per my colleagues. Hersfold has left you some helpful information on your talk page, and Coren's suggestions may also be helpful to you. Welcome to Misplaced Pages; I know it is a bit complex, but with a little persistence things will become a bit clearer. Risker (talk) 03:52, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
