Get a room

I don't know if this is harassment or fun, but either way it doesn't belong here. We're just here to write an encyclopedia. (Well, ok, a little fun is allowed.). You're both good contributing editors to Misplaced Pages and I hope you are indeed having fun. (Not too much fun.) Cheers, -Willmcw 10:07, May 2, 2005 (UTC)

The other wikpipedian in question (C from NZ) is an unrepentant pervert and anarchist. Yes, his behaviour was clearly harrassment. 155.84.57.253 15:26, 18 October 2005 (UTC)

List of ethnic slurs

Reverted your revert. Please discuss. -- mawa 18:37, 20 September 2005 (UTC)

NPOV

Please abide by our WP:NPOV policy or you will be blocked from editing. --fvw* 19:46, 20 September 2005 (UTC)

What are you talking about? What alleged sin have I committed? 155.84.57.253 19:47, 20 September 2005 (UTC)

Well, for starters you've written that people are "posers" and "wannabe beatniks". --fvw* 19:49, 20 September 2005 (UTC)

I didn't realize that comments about fictional characters in an edit summary, not the actual article, was a POV violation or slander. Rather I thought they were a form of shorthand to explain your edit. Yes this is a high crime. Oh and by the way, Maynard was not a real beatnik - he was a small town kid who was trying to act like a beatnik. 155.84.57.253 19:53, 20 September 2005 (UTC)

Oops, I hadn't seen it was a fictional character; Yes, in that case it's probably fine, sorry about that. In that case let's take the example of calling people pretendians; Calling people pretendians when there is dispute over their ancestry isn't NPOV. --fvw* 20:00, 20 September 2005 (UTC)

Since the elders and members of our Nation say he isn't a member, as he claims, that makes him a pretendian in our eyes. Actually we say much worse things about him that aren't fit for Misplaced Pages. 155.84.57.253 20:04, 20 September 2005 (UTC)

What he is in your eyes is entirely up to you, however do not insert your POV into wikipedia articles. --fvw* 20:07, 20 September 2005 (UTC)

His claims to be a member of my nation are fraudulent. That is a fact. That he is a pretendian may be POV. I will refrain from calling anyone a "pretendian". 155.84.57.253 20:34, 20 September 2005 (UTC)

Sock puppets and IPs

Please edit under one username only. If you continue to create and use sock puppets then eventually you will be blocked from all editing. The use of a variety of IP addresses appears intended to mask your identity and is not acceptable either. -Willmcw 04:06, 29 September 2005 (UTC)

I don't know what you're talking about. Please expound. Who are these alleged sock-puppets? 155.84.57.253 16:12, 29 September 2005 (UTC)

The sock puppets include: User:YvaBraun, User:Smegmann, User:Shran, User:LittleDeadBuddy, User:DonnaReed, User:Can'tStandYa, User:TonyTheTerrier, User:CaptainJackWill, User:WehrWolf, User:LesbianLatke. -Willmcw 17:47, 29 September 2005 (UTC)
Again, and I repeat, there are hundreds of people on this networked IP. I only know a few of the wikipedia users, and of those I know I can have only limited influence. I have just returned after being away on national service for a long time, and am using "CantStandYa" as opposed to "Can'tStandYa" as my sole ID. That is all. 155.84.57.253 14:55, 3 October 2005 (UTC)
Thanks for your service. Please stick to one username when editing Misplaced Pages. Cheers, -Willmcw 20:05, 3 October 2005 (UTC)
I've left the user:CantStandYa open for you to use, while blocking the other accounts. Apparently you've been making mischief all over the place. Misplaced Pages:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents#155.84.57.253/24.0.91.81/Shran/et al. and Misplaced Pages:Vandalism in progress#Ich bin ein Berliner. You're obviously intelligent and resourceful, and I hope that you can contribute to Misplaced Pages in a more collegial and positive way, and especially with a single identity. Making your fellow editors keep track of who-is-who is disruptive and disrespectful, and undermines the core principle of consensus. There's no need for it. Thanks again for your contributions to Misplaced Pages and your service to the nation. -Willmcw 07:41, 7 October 2005 (UTC)
Again - you don't get it. This network has hundreds of users - all with the same IP. Since I'm not the IT manager, I can't do anything about them, except warn the few that I know that our shared IP will be blocked if they misbehave here. As a result the recent anon edits from our network (155) have been respectful and restrained. I certainly can't do anything about what users of this network, and other unknown users do at home. Please stop your accusations.
Yes, you and the (155) address are in danger of being blocked if there is a repetition of previous editing problems. Misplaced Pages:sock puppets are not allowed, nor is edit warring. You've been around here as long as I have, so I don't need to remind you that Misplaced Pages has policies that we all need to respect. We, and I in particular, appreciate your contributions but if you don't follow Misplaced Pages norms then this may not be the best project for you. Sincerely, -Willmcw 05:01, 18 October 2005 (UTC)
It appears you are responding to a recent baseless charge of vandalism. Cat tags for Scottish Americans. This is a case of an overzealous editor making unsubstantiated accusations. I have since gone back and resourced the work - hardly vandalism. I'm surprised you were so easily misled by this poor editor (solarusdude). 155.84.57.253 13:35, 18 October 2005 (UTC)

User infoThis is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address.
