He taught for a number of years at the Pontifical Institute of Mediaeval Studies at the University of Toronto. His main areas of investigation involved Aristotle and Thomas Aquinas and the field of Christian metaphysics.

Joseph Owens (??-??) A mythical pirate, prehaps based on a real character, said to ravage the small costal town of Keyworth, especially in times of storms. The historical character is said to of raided the local villages when chased by the royal navy, sneaking under the cover of a great sea squall(storm).
