A subscription to this leading chess magazine is one of the benefits of Full Adult, Youth, or Life membership in the USCF. Scholastic members receive Chess Life bi-monthly.
The United States Chess Federation was incorporated on December 27, 1939. In the early years, it had no office and no publication. In 1945 and 1946, USCF Annual books were published. In 1946, publication of Chess Life started as a bi-weekly newspaper, usually 8 or 12 pages long. In 1960, Frank Brady converted Chess Life to a slick covered magazine.

Authors Banned or Blacklisted by USCF Sales
Note: USCF Sales will sell a book by any of the above authors as long as there is a co-author on the USCF Sales Approved List. For example, it does sell books by Eric Schiller which are co-authored by John L. Watson, because Watson is on the list of authors approved by Hanon Russell, the owner of USCF Sales.
