Mendelsohn, MD, was a critic of allopathic medicine, particularily vaccination. For twelve years, Dr. Mendelsohn was an instructor at Northwest University Medical College, and served as Associtate Professor of Pediatrics and Community Health and Preventive Medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine for another dozen years.
Mendelsohn served as President of the National Health Federation, National Director of Project Head Start's Medical Consultation Service, and Chairman of the Medical Licensing Comittee of the State of Illinois. He also appeared on over 500 television and radio talk shows.
Mendelsohn received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Chicago in 1951.
