Chiloé is one of the provinces of Los Lagos Region of Chile. Chiloé Province covers all of Chiloé Archipelago (including Chiloé Island) with the exception of Desertores Islands. The area of Chiloé province is 9181 km² (3546 sq mi). The administrative center of the province is Castro, while the seat of the Roman Catholic bishopric is Ancud.
