International career

Källström made his international debut in 2001 against Finland. He has played for his country at Euro 2004, 2006 World Cup, and was apart of Sweden's EURO 2008 squad. He has been capped 72 times scoring 13 goals, as of March 2010.

On June 6, 2009, Källström missed a penalty against Denmark during a 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifying match at the Råsunda stadium in Solna. Sweden lost 0-1 due to another horrible mistake by defender Mikael Nilsson. Because of this poor result, Sweden missed the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
