Rewriting the list
When looking at the cemeteries of England, it was my opinion that it was a very poor list. At the moment I am working on updating that list and making the necessary links.
Because the list of cemeteries in London is substantial and because there is a separate portal for London, I have moved the cemeteries of London to a separate list, using a Wikisort table. The name of the cemetery is linked to an article. This has also meant that remarks on notable people and such have been removed as they should be covered in the article and not in this list. The column "remarks" is only used for distinguishing features.
If you want to add a cemetery, you can insert that after filling this "template" (invisible as it is a remark):
My aim is to finish both the England and London list by the end of September 2010.

What is notable?
In my opinion a cemetery is notable when:
- 1. The cemetery has listed buildings
- 2. English Heritage says it is interesting
- 3. It has special historical value (such as the Magnificent Seven)
- 4. At least three people of note are buried there (they have to be mentioned in Misplaced Pages)
- 5. The cemetery has won a Green Flag Award or has Green Heritage Site Accreditation
- 6. It is on the UNESCO World Heritage List
- 7. The cemetery has an article in Misplaced Pages
- 8. The community does not say a cemetery can not stay on the list
- 9. It has a "friends" movement supporting it
- 10. The community suggests inclusion.
Not included in this list are: 1. Cemeteries not meant for humans 2. Cemeteries that do not meet above criteria 3. Cemeteries I have forgotten
