Hello, and welcome to Misplaced Pages. Thank you for your contributions.

Currently, you are editing without a username. You can continue to do so, as you are not required to log in to Misplaced Pages to read and edit articles; however, logging in will result in a username being shown instead of your IP address (yours is 199.173.226.236). Logging in does not require any personal details, and there are many other benefits for logging in.

When you edit pages:

  • Please respect others' copyrights; do not copy and paste the contents from webpages directly.
  • Please use a neutral point of view when editing articles; this is possibly the most important Misplaced Pages policy.
  • If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
  • Do not add unreasonable contents into any articles, such as copyrighted text, advertisement messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject. Adding such content or editing articles maliciously is considered vandalism.

The Misplaced Pages Tutorial is a good place to start learning about Misplaced Pages. For now, if you are stuck, you can click the edit this page tab above, type {{helpme}} in the edit box, and then click Save Page; an experienced Wikipedian will be around shortly to answer any questions you may have. Also feel free to ask a question on my talk page. I will answer your questions as far as I can! Thank you again for contributing to Misplaced Pages. Ward3001 23:48, 28 March 2007 (UTC)

Hello. Please don't forget to provide an edit summary. Thanks. Ward3001 23:48, 28 March 2007 (UTC)

Cincinnati Nikname

You seem to insist that both "Queen City" and "City of Seven Hills" be included as niknames in the infobox for the article on Cincinnati. I disagree and will be reverting you change again. The Seven Hills nikname is "controversial" because the city now has many more than seven hills (see the voluminous discussion on that point on the discussion page). I would also suggest that "Queen City" has the highest profile among the niknames. Therefore it should be the one listed in the infobox. If we list two there, why not three, four, or twenty? Seven Hills and others are addressed in the Niknames section, so it is not being ignored. Pzavon 00:04, 28 July 2007 (UTC)

Welcome to Misplaced Pages. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Larry James has been reverted. Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Misplaced Pages. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Misplaced Pages. The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): rule: '\bblogspot\.com' (link(s): http://ramscrosscountry.blogspot.com/2008/05/larry-james-mighty-burner-still-burns.html) . If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, or similar site, then please check the information on the external site thoroughly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creator's copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).

If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. Please read Misplaced Pages's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 17:24, 12 November 2008 (UTC)

Welcome to Misplaced Pages. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Misplaced Pages, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Jason Bay, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. We don't make those sort of edits until the deal is official. Muboshgu (talk) 19:19, 29 December 2009 (UTC)

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Talk:Medieval Warm Period

Thank you for your contributions to the encyclopedia! In case you are not already aware, an article to which you have recently contributed, Medieval Warm Period, is on article probation. A detailed description of the terms of article probation may be found at Misplaced Pages:General sanctions/Climate change probation. Also note that the terms of some article probations extend to related articles and their associated talk pages.

The above is a templated message. Please accept it as a routine friendly notice, not as a claim that there is any problem with your edits. Thank you. -- TS 20:00, 17 February 2010 (UTC)

October 2010

Please do not replace Misplaced Pages pages with blank content, as you did to the page User:Johnpacklambert. Blank pages can confuse readers, and are overall not helpful to the Misplaced Pages project; furthermore, blanking a page is not the same as deleting it.

If the article you blanked is a duplicate of another article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalized, please revert it to the last legitimate revision. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please use the appropriate deletion process. August 2011

Welcome to Misplaced Pages. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Osteopathy. When removing content, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the content has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you.
