Billa 2 is an upcoming Tamil-language gangster film to be directed by Chakri Toleti. It is a prequel to the 2007 film Billa and would focus on how David, an ordinary man from the coastal regions of South Tamil Nadu, becomes Billa, a dreaded underworld don, with Ajith Kumar reprising the role of the titular character. The film, which is to be produced by Wide Angle Creations in association with the Hinduja Group company IN Entertainment, was officially announced in November 2010. Filming is slated to commence by March end, with the film expected to release in November 2011.
