The label specializes primarily in Southern hip hop music. The label's releases were fromerly distributed by the Warner Music Group through Atlantic Records. As of February 2006, Slip-n-Slide issues its releases through Def Jam Records.
Current and former artists on the label have included Trick Daddy, Trina, Don Yute, Duece Poppi, Lost Tribe and Plies, among others.
