Ptolemaic is the adjective formed from Ptolemy.

Ptolemaic usually refers to either:

  • Ptolemy, the 2nd century AD geographer and astronomer; or
  • The Egyptian dynasty founded by the Macedonian general Ptolemy around 300 BC
