Stephanie Adams (b. July 24, 1970, Orange, New Jersey) is an American model.

Modeling Career

Stephanie Adams graduated high school at the age of 16 and began her modeling career. She was signed to the Wilhemina modeling agency while completing college, and then to the Elite modeling agency by John Casablancas, whom she also dated for a time.

Stephanie did photo shoots for companies such as Seventeen and Miss Clairol, and then was chosen as the November, 1992 Playboy playmate of the month after finally accepting their offer to pose nude. She also appeared in numerous Playboy videos and currently appears as a celebrity model on the cover of various publications as well as her book covers. Stephanie is considered to be one of the most beautiful models of recent times.

Personal Life

Adams dated former Elite owner John Casablancas around the time she posed in Playboy. (John appears in a photo with her for her pictorial.) Stephanie later married an Italian investment banker, and after her divorce (with the help of her high-profile divorce attorney Raoul Felder) she dated several prominent New York City men including having a tempestuous relationship with musician Mario Giampaglia. To this day Mario still considers Stephanie to be the love of his life. Shortly afterwards, Stephanie became the only former Playboy Playmate to come out publicly as a lesbian.

Stephanie was involved for some time with a woman named Denise Taormina, and briefly dated a well known woman in the entertainment industry. She refused to devulge any names, but it eventually appeared on "Page Six" of the New York Post that the "woman" was actually two women: comedian Marga Gomez and rock star Joan Jett. Stephanie later dated a woman named Barbara Assisi who appeared on the cover of various publications with her including her book entitled Empress. When asked about her love life now, Stephanie says that she is a "Playboy trapped in a Playmate's body".
