DYK for Street House Anglo-Saxon cemetery
On 3 June 2012, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Street House Anglo-Saxon cemetery, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that an Anglo-Saxon princess (reconstruction pictured) was buried on a bed with her jewellery in the Street House Anglo-Saxon cemetery? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Street House Anglo-Saxon cemetery. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

Uninvolved comment on Fae case
As I've said elsewhere, I've been lurking this case, although I'm pretty completely uninvolved. I do weigh in a little on talk pages, though. In this case, my two cents in response to your question at are that I think he was saying that although it's fact he created the page, he considers the accusation to be that he created it in order to ridicule Fae. - Jorgath (talk) 18:54, 5 June 2012 (UTC)
- Actually, he's now clarified (!) that he means to expose Fae, rather than harass him. Not sure I see the difference myself... Prioryman (talk) 23:40, 5 June 2012 (UTC)
- Again, just thoughts, but perhaps the difference to him is that "exposing" is a public criticism of Fae's behavior, while "harrasment" is an attack on Fae as a person? In other words, the difference would be between saying "X did some really stupid things that everyone should know about" and saying "X is an idiot." That's a very blurry line, especially since the responses could be expected to cross it, but it's the only one I can see. - Jorgath (talk) 19:56, 6 June 2012 (UTC)

Not sure in what context you mean kemosabe but it's probably not necessary to advance the argument you're making there. Nobody Ent 17:29, 9 June 2012 (UTC)
- C'mon, you must remember the old gag about the Lone Ranger and Tonto heading into danger; the Lone Ranger asks Tonto, "what do we do now?" to which Tonto replies, "what you mean 'we,' kemosabe?" Prioryman (talk) 17:44, 9 June 2012 (UTC)
New request
Hi, Prioryman. After you managed to make a featured article out of the battle of Vukovar, would you be willing to expand the article the siege of Dubrovnik in the same manner for? Kind regards.--Justice and Arbitration (talk) 12:28, 11 June 2012 (UTC)
Your Arbitration evidence is too long
Hello, Prioryman. Thank you for your recent submission of evidence for the Fæ Arbitration case. As you may be aware, the Arbitration Committee asks that users submitting evidence in cases adhere to limits regarding the length of their submissions. These limits, currently at 1000 words and 100 diffs for parties and 500 words and 50 diffs for all others, are in place to ensure that the Arbitration Committee receives only the most important information relevant to the case, and is able to determine an appropriate course of action in a reasonable amount of time. The evidence you have submitted currently exceeds at least one of these limits, and is presently at 648 words and 6 diffs. Please try to reduce the length of your submission to fit within these limits; this guide may be able to provide some help in doing so. If the length of your evidence is not reduced soon, it may be refactored or removed by a human clerk within a few days. Thank you! If you have any questions or concerns regarding the case, please contact the drafting Arbitrator or case clerk (listed on the case pages); if you have any questions or concerns about this bot, please contact the operator. On behalf of the Arbitration Committee, HersfoldArbClerkBOT 14:02, 12 June 2012 (UTC)
- Hi Prioryman. As long as you trim your word count down by the end of the day, you'll be fine. Lord Roem (talk) 16:25, 12 June 2012 (UTC)
Clarification, re: Wikipediocracy account
I'll bring this here since it'd be a bit far afield from the Arbcom Workshop. The link I provided is to a Wikipediocracy account, and account named the same as your former Misplaced Pages account, minus the "O". This account joined Mar 18, 2012 and has made a total of 14 posts, 12 of which are visible (2 presumably hidden to some off-topic/tarpit relocation) between Mar 19 - Apr 26. One post was in regards to Delicious Carbuncle and the Common's "donkey punch" image, 5 in a discussion of Jim Hawkins, then some 1s and 2s in a Commons deletion discussion, a discussion about Anders Breivik, etc... The Hawkins thread there is notable for the defense of Fae that the Wikipediocracy account mounted, several times... Also of note; the last time the account logged in (but did not post) was today Wed Jun 13, 2012 at 4:46pm (EST, I believe).
For the record, you are saying that this account is not yours? Tarc (talk) 22:02, 13 June 2012 (UTC)
- Nope, certainly not mine. Who's Jim Hawkins, out of curiosity? I can't be bothered to Google the name and it's not familiar to me. Did the Wikipediocracy user ever claim to be me? Prioryman (talk) 22:14, 13 June 2012 (UTC)
- Jim Hawkins (radio presenter), big OTRS, privacy kerfuffle in March. Consider it retracted, then. Tarc (talk) 00:37, 14 June 2012 (UTC)
- No wonder I've never heard of him, BBC Radio Shropshire isn't exactly the world's leading media outlet! Glad we cleared that up then. Prioryman (talk) 06:48, 14 June 2012 (UTC)
Answers for Tryptofish
Curious, why mark this account as a sock of an account indeffed six years ago? I'm not disputing the idea that it's a malicious sock (who would innocently create that username?), and thus I've created an SPI to request checkuser for sleepers, but I'm just confused about your opinion on the sockmaster's identity. I have passed this article for GA status. Thanks for all your hard work on this. It is a good article and could well go forward to FA in due course. I am supposed to encourage you to review an article yourself, but you may want to sit down in a darkened room for a bit first. Well done.--SabreBD (talk) 16:34, 1 July 2012 (UTC)

Re: Vinkovci Treasure
I know, it's been all over the news here :) I'm not really active at hr:, but I'm sure someone will get to it eventually. I guess you don't know, but it has actually happened several times that articles in the purview of WP:CRO were written on en: first and on hr: later. Once I even saw a direct translation :) --Joy (talk) 06:38, 6 July 2012 (UTC)
