Speedy deletion nomination of Prisoner of Conscious (album)

Hello Koala15,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Prisoner of Conscious (album) for deletion, because it seems to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, Go Phightins! (talk) 19:46, 26 September 2012 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Prisoner of Conscious (album)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Prisoner of Conscious (album), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Go Phightins! (talk) 21:04, 26 September 2012 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for September 29

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Misplaced Pages appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 1,000 Grams, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Mike Dean and Brisco (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

"Fixing article"

...was an incorrect phrase on Heart of Dixie (album) and Trunk Muzik. Neither of those albums is notable per either WP:GNG or WP:MUSIC. Just because an album exists does not mean that it can have its own article on Misplaced Pages; mixtapes in particular will almost never meet our notability requirements for albums. Additionally, I also had to redirect your newly created Les Is More (Ryan Leslie album). An album may never have an article before it is released unless it has already been the subject of substantial, ongoing coverage in independent reliable sources.

Please review our notability requirements before creating more articles on music albums, and please don't undo those redirects unless you know of reliable sources to support the existence of the articles. Qwyrxian (talk) 03:26, 30 September 2012 (UTC)

License tagging for File:Rick Ross Rich Forever.JPG

Thanks for uploading File:Rick Ross Rich Forever.JPG. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Misplaced Pages uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Misplaced Pages. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Misplaced Pages:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 16:07, 4 October 2012 (UTC)

Notability of albums

Please read WP:ALBUM. The Ryan Leslie album redirect you just undid is not allowed. First, until the album releases, it almost certainly can't exist as a stand-alone article per WP:CRYSTAL (exceptions are made for albums with extremely wide coverage in very good reliable sources). And, as I said in in edit summary, even after it's released, that doesn't automatically make it notable, either. Not every album released is inherently notable; it needs to chart, or be covered widely in reliable sources, or otherwise meet WP:ALBUM. If you insist, I will take the article to WP:AfD, and then we can get a certain result showing that it must be deleted per our policies. Qwyrxian (talk) 03:19, 5 October 2012 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:Les Is More.JPG)

Thanks for uploading File:Les Is More.JPG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Misplaced Pages under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Misplaced Pages. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Misplaced Pages (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:41, 6 October 2012 (UTC)

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Misplaced Pages, as you did to ASAP Rocky, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. Dan56 (talk) 20:08, 19 October 2012 (UTC)

Also, please stop edit warring on Les is More. I get that you think the album is notable. Yet, you have not demonstrated that it is is in any way, shape, or form. Until such time as it meets WP:ALBUM, it may not be a separate article. Qwyrxian (talk) 23:15, 21 October 2012 (UTC)

Hey Koala,

Sorry to revert you, but this episode seems to have aired in some places on October 21. It says it has on IMDB, and I have watched the episode and it is currently recorded on my PVR. FogDevil 20:08, 23 October 2012 (UTC)

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates or other materials from Misplaced Pages, as you did at LongLiveASAP, you may be blocked from editing. Thank you. Dan56 (talk) 05:33, 24 October 2012 (UTC)

Thank you for contributing to Misplaced Pages. We always appreciate when users upload new images. However, it appears that one or more of the images you have recently uploaded or added to an article, specifically File:Nas - Life is Good.jpg, may fail our non-free image policy. Most often, this involves editors uploading or using a copyrighted image of a living person. For other possible reasons, please read up on our Non-free image criteria. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Dan56 (talk) 14:35, 24 October 2012 (UTC)

What the hell is your problem!? Did you not see the guidelines I cited when I reverted you? Per Template:Infobox album#Cover, the ideal size for an album cover is 300px, and per Misplaced Pages:Non-free_content#Image_resolution, the criteria for non-free images requires them to be of reduced quality. Please refrain from making disruptive edits. If you feel your changes are correct, then bring them up at the article's talk page or the opposing editor's talk page, but refrain from restoring your changes, as in this case, they were wrong. Dan56 (talk) 14:38, 24 October 2012 (UTC)

Reversions

Hey. I should probably explain – the reason I keep replacing your citations on Wiz Khalifa discography is because you keep citing sources where the reliability has not been proven. Your last edit, for instance: I've never even heard of "Bread Over Bed" and have never seen it any other encyclopedia page. Rap Radar, although it appears far more often on Misplaced Pages, has not yet been shown to be reliable, as it does not actually have its own page (apart from a dubious redirect to where the editor of the site also works). If you want to bring up the reliability of certain sources so that they may be used in the future without question, then bring it up at WP:RS, or ask me if you're not sure – in the meantime, please stick to the limited number of hip-hop sites, such as HipHopDX, Rap-Up, The Source or Complex, that are accepted as being reliable, or more general sources such as MTV (especially for music videos). Thank you. I Am RufusConversation is a beautiful thing. 08:08, 3 November 2012 (UTC)

Albums

Let me be a little more clear this time: repeatedly creating articles on non-notable subjects is disruptive. I know that you are sincerely trying to improve the encyclopedia, but just because an album exists does not mean that it certainly deserves a page. And more than 99% of the time an album should not have a page before the album is released. Please stop making album pages. Please review . I don't want to have to recommend blocking you, because when you stick to notable subjects, then you're adding good information. Probably the safest thing for you to do is to simply stop making new albums at the moment until you're certain you understand the rules for album notability. You may even want to start using the Articles for Creation system, which will have them be reviewed by another editor before they go into mainspace. While it takes more time at the beginning, it saves a lot of time afterward from having to argue about notability, sources, and the like. Well, sometimes it does, anyway. Edit to ASAP Rocky

Your edit to ASAP Rocky was reverted. Do not employ inappropriate MOS, and please use an edit summary before saving your changes. "Why?" is the question I have for you as well. The guideline for the section you edited was noted there for editors to see before editing: "Per Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Musicians/Article guidelines, The discography section of the musician's primary article should "provide a summary of the musician's major works. In most cases this is done using a simple list of their studio albums, leaving a complete listing of releases to the discography article." There's no reason for bold, small headings above a simple list of two works, especially when the structure is available at the discography article. No dilineation necessary, as it just amounts to stylization, no encyclopedic reason for it. Dan56 (talk) 01:31, 10 November 2012 (UTC)

BTW, please use the preview button if you plan on making mass changes, as you did to here to ASAP Rocky discography. The article's history subpage now shows like dozens of unexplained edits to the article. They were reverted partially too; why were the date formats in two references changed when the rest of the citations use a written-out month-day-year format? An article's references should use the same date format (MOS:DATEUNIFY) Dan56 (talk) 01:36, 10 November 2012 (UTC)

Template:Non-free reduced

Hi, Koala15. Could you do me a favour. The template {{Non-free reduced}} is supposed to be substituted; this means you are not supposed to place it directly on the file the way you have been doing. The way you are doing it is adding incorrect time and date stamps on the images, which is placing them in incorrect maintenance categories. Please use the code {{subst:furd}}, and the wikimedia software will add the appropriate time and date stamp to the file. Further information can be found here. Thanks! -- Dianna (talk) 03:47, 28 November 2012 (UTC)

Edit to ASAP Rocky discography

Please refrain from making unsourced changes to articles, as you did to ASAP Rocky discography. Misplaced Pages should not feature unverifiable speculation about future events, such as "to-be-announced" content that you added to that article. At the very least, a reliable source should be cited if it is indeed confirmed. Regardless, this still falls in with making unsourced changes in general, so please stick to the sources. Dan56 (talk) 00:05, 4 December 2012 (UTC)

RE: Well then how do you know about it? Is there an article online or the artist's YouTube feed? Please do not restore your addition without this kind of proof. If this is an exceptional claim, that still requires something. Dan56 (talk) 00:07, 4 December 2012 (UTC)
Looking through your contributions history, you made this change with the edit summary "... on 106th & Park". Is this where the video was played? Dan56 (talk) 00:10, 4 December 2012 (UTC)
I just googled "ASAP Rocky Fuckin Problems" with the setting on "past hour" () and found this confirming that the video was premiered on the show. Next time, just research the topic. These days, any kind of news is instantaneous. Dan56 (talk) 00:12, 4 December 2012 (UTC)

December 2012

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to ASAP Rocky discography and ASAP Rocky. This contravenes Misplaced Pages's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Misplaced Pages. Dan56 (talk) 03:29, 4 December 2012 (UTC)

Alternate cover

Please check page histories (located at the top, the "view history" tab) to see a log of edits and changes to an article. The removal of the alternate cover is shown at the page history for Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors; explained in this edit: per Template:Infobox_album#Template:Extra_album_cover: "Covers that are essentially similar, despite differences in colouring, poses, text, etc, should not be included." Dan56 (talk) 21:46, 10 December 2012 (UTC)

This isnt up for discussion. The cover clearly fails the criteria, and further changes against will be considered disruptive. I dont know what you mean by "handbooks", but you're editing too close to vandalism by continously disregarding WP policies. Dan56 (talk) 21:53, 10 December 2012 (UTC)
You really want to get an admin involved? Dont think they'll appreciate some off-hand comment like "old handbook". Read the criteria. It's self-explanatory: what encyclopedic value does an "essentially similar" cover add to an article on the topic? And which articles are you referring to when you say they have an alternate cover that also fails this criteria? Dan56 (talk) 22:19, 10 December 2012 (UTC)
And if you're continuing to make disruptive edits, i.e. edits you know are against policies and guidelines, you may be blocked; you can be reported at WP:AVI having continued to make edits you know are incorrect, and be blocked, so I am in a better position, albeit not an authoritative one, if you want to bring that up. There's a reason this welcome was made to you, but did you even bother to review any of those links? Dan56 (talk) 22:24, 10 December 2012 (UTC)
