If you tried the script earlier, there was a small bug. It should be working now.--Erik (not logged in)
- I've added a couple more features: 1) You can see how many photos are left in your slice, 2) You can review and edit all the ones you have approved so far. You've got 150 left in your first slice. Would be cool if you could finish it, and let me know your thoughts so far. :-)--Eloquence* 19:19, 20 September 2005 (UTC)
Respiration
There are a couple of problems with this chart. First of all, it's "Krebs cycle", not "Kreb's cycle" (the man's name was "Krebs"). Second, glycerol is not converted to glucose in the course of being oxidized (nor are the fatty acids that also result from hydrolysis of triglycerides). Josh Cherry 02:40, 22 September 2005 (UTC)
- I'm not sure how to do it simply. Glycerol enters glycolysis in the middle, between glucose and pyruvate. Furthermore, triglyceride fats yield fatty acids as well as glycerol. In fact the fatty acids are most of the mass, and even more of the reducing equivalents (they are oxidized, eventually yielding mostly acetyl-CoA). I'm not sure how all of this should be shown; removing fats from the diagram would be an improvement because it would no longer be wrong. Josh Cherry 02:29, 23 September 2005 (UTC)
- I'm not quite the most talented amongst graphic artists, but here's my rendition. Coincidentally, we just finished up this section in class. (Third-year biochemistry major, University of Texas at Austin) John Sheu 06:19, 28 September 2005 (UTC)
Quartization?
Hi Bdesham, there's some work to be done on the upcoming Quartos next week, if you're interested. Drop me a line, either way :) +sj + 11:36, 10 November 2005 (UTC)
- Yes, you are on our shortlist of interested English-language proofers. As long as most content is *written* in English, we need to have a larger team... +sj + 14:23, 10 November 2005 (UTC)
new collaboration project
You'd you be interested in a participating in a new Collaboration project that aims at translating good and featured articles in the French Misplaced Pages to English (much like the Spanish Translation of the Week)? I'm trying to see if there's enough users interested in this project before creating it. Thank you. CG 17:38, 14 December 2005 (UTC)
Pachelbel's Canon
Hello Bdesham,
I've been working on Johann Pachelbel and Pachelbel's Canon recently and, while adding info to the latter, I noticed that every score of the Canon in D I have has a two-measure bass line in quarter notes (and thats what I used for an illustration), while the picture you uploaded for the article shows a four-measure one. My scores are all .pdf downloads, so I guess they might be wrong. How did you make the picture, did you use any printed scores? Or are both ways correct (my music theory/notation knowledge is very basic so I wouldn't know)? Jashiin 20:43, 11 February 2006 (UTC)
