Hi. Today I noticed you have inherited this work from JoshuSasori. I would be happy to improve it if possible, but I'm not sure whether if it is okay to edit another editor's userspace draft page. So I came to this talk page just to let you know the existance of Midnight Eye's reviews of Schilling's books.
- Contemporary Japanese Film
- The Yakuza Movie Book: A Guide to Japanese Gangster Films
- No Borders, No Limits: Nikkatsu Action Cinema
Please feel free to use them. 124.102.48.70 (talk) 16:06, 23 February 2013 (UTC)
Thank you. As I said on the WikiProject, I only asked for this because I hate to see such article creation work wasted, just as I hate to see potentially good editors pushed out—in any dispute it takes two to tango: insults and perceived threats are generally taken very seriously on WP, while interference by people who have not contributed in any way to an article hurts a person just as much. I'm now regretting having volunteered: other writers in the same space—like Mark Schreiber (there's a brief entry for him on Japanese Misplaced Pages but nothing on English Misplaced Pages)—are arguably more notable, so it could be considered unfair to publish a Schilling article without doing a Schreiber article first, and I don't have a lot of free time. There are also other very good Japanese film reviewers like Kaori Shoji in the same space, and it would probably be unfair or look racist if I didn't do articles on them as well. I'm not an expert in the field, and reluctant to commit to doing a whole slew of articles—I don't have the time. I'd now be glad to hand the article over to somebody else in the field: it's not "my" article, I didn't write it—but there are so few volunteers working in the Japan-related space that I don't think anyone would want it. Guess I have to think about whether to do a Schreiber article first. I wish I could give you a more positive reply. Best regards LittleBen (talk) 16:36, 23 February 2013 (UTC)
