Incomplete Template: Need To Add Christian Weston Chandler Information

The subject represented Internet celebrity and Sonichu comic book creator Christian Weston Chandler at his criminal trial. This needs to be added. Unfortunately the edit filter is going haywire with false positives whenever this information is attempted to be added. I have reported these false positives as well as the issue on the Administrator's Noticeboard. 70.241.73.164 (talk) 04:29, 29 December 2012 (UTC)

Edit Request: Add Legal Career Information

It is requested that an edit be made to the semi-protected article at Rob Bell (Virginia politician). (edit · history · last · links · protection log)

This template must be followed by a complete and specific description of the request, that is, specify what text should be removed and a verbatim copy of the text that should replace it. "Please change X" is not acceptable and will be rejected; the request must be of the form "please change X to Y".

The edit may be made by any autoconfirmed user. Remember to change the |answered=no parameter to "yes" when the request has been accepted, rejected or on hold awaiting user input. This is so that inactive or completed requests don't needlessly fill up the edit requests category. You may also wish to use the {{ESp}} template in the response. To request that a page be protected or unprotected, make a protection request.

Not done: The page's protection level has changed since this request was placed. You should now be able to edit the page yourself. If you still seem to be unable to, please reopen the request with further details. RudolfRed (talk) 22:45, 29 March 2013 (UTC)

As I wrote earlier, I was told to use it by an administrator due to the edit filter. 68.50.128.91 (talk) 07:35, 30 March 2013 (UTC)
Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. The Sonichu.com wiki does not qualify as a reliable source. – 29611670.x (talk) 10:47, 13 April 2013 (UTC)
I have posted a link in the conversation below to reliable sources. 68.50.128.91 (talk) 09:39, 15 April 2013 (UTC)
Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. The page you linked doesn't mention Bell; please link directly to the sources. – 29611670.x (talk) 10:26, 15 April 2013 (UTC)
One can't link directly to the record, but you can search for it here: http://epwsgdp1.courts.state.va.us/gdcourts. In any event, please stop closing the edit request until it has had the opportunity to be discussed. 68.50.128.91 (talk) 03:12, 16 April 2013 (UTC)
The general district court system is a primary source, and thus unacceptable for use in Misplaced Pages, particularly in ref to a living person. Sailsbystars (talk) 04:46, 16 April 2013 (UTC)
Pardon? It's an official government source, it's not coming from me. 68.50.128.91 (talk) 07:39, 16 April 2013 (UTC)
I close this request as there is no consensus to make the suggested edit. Please achieve consensus first.--Ymblanter (talk) 16:02, 16 April 2013 (UTC)
I reverted the IP edit and semi-protected the talk page for three days. Disruptive behavior will not be tolerated here.--Ymblanter (talk) 08:18, 19 April 2013 (UTC)

Legal Career

In 2012, Bell represented Internet celebrity and Sonichu comic book creator Christian Weston Chandler at his criminal trial."

This is an important Bell case, and arguably his most famous.

The edit filter keeps going haywire, and has yet to be fixed, so an administrator suggested I make this edit request. 68.50.128.91 (talk) 12:12, 29 March 2013 (UTC)

A Google search on "Christian Weston Chandler" turned up exactly zero reliable sources in the first ten pages. It was all Facebook, Youtube, and links to Chandler's own comic strip site and blog, plus echoes. From what I can tell, Chandler is a comic artist and wannabe internet celebrity who got into a fight with a clerk at a video game store a couple of years ago. The OJ trial it ain't. I'm not familiar with Bell's legal career, but I would be highly surprised if this was his most notable case. Certainly, without real press coverage, it has no place in this article. Rklear (talk) 12:41, 29 March 2013 (UTC)
There are actually many articles on Chandler from the mainstream press, let alone Internet sources, if you do more than a cursory look. 68.50.128.91 (talk) 07:37, 30 March 2013 (UTC)
Would you care to produce a few? And remember, we're talking mainstream press here, not gamer blogs or internet gossip sites. Also remember that we're talking about significant coverage Rob Bell's legal representation of Chandler here. The article is about Bell, not Chandler, after all. Rklear (talk) 16:02, 30 March 2013 (UTC)
Here's a list to start with: Chris in the media 68.50.128.91 (talk) 11:06, 31 March 2013 (UTC)
Nothing there about Rob Bell's involvement in any court case. Therefore, nothing of relevance to this article. And this is the list from Chandler's own self-promotion machine. Case closed. Rklear (talk) 14:30, 31 March 2013 (UTC)
It's relevant because he's representing an Internet celebrity. Otherwise, why does Bell even have a Misplaced Pages page? Chandler is more notable than anything else Bell has been involved with. 68.50.128.91 (talk) 08:19, 2 April 2013 (UTC)
I agree, the battle between CWC and the internet trolls has not reached Misplaced Pages's notability standards. Misplaced Pages is not to be confused with the Encyclopedia Dramatica. Sailsbystars (talk) 15:00, 29 March 2013 (UTC)

Hi, please stop re-opening the edit request. The template is meant for non-controversial edits that already have a consensus, it's not for attracting attention to a dispute. Take a look at the reliable sources guideline, it has all the information you need to get your content into the article. — Bility (talk) 17:26, 2 April 2013 (UTC)
