Before nominating an article, please ensure it meets all the featured article criteria:

  • Prose must be engaging and of a professional standard.
  • The article must be representative of the relevant literature on the subject.
  • All claims must be cited to high-quality, reliable sources, with consistently formatted inline citations using one of the approved methods.
  • The article must be neutral, stable and follow the style guidelines.
  • The lead must adequately summarize an appropriately structured article body.
  • Images must be adequately tagged and sourced, and follow the image use policy and, where applicable, the non-free content criteria for inclusion.

If you are unsure that the article meets these standards, Peer Review may be a more appropriate venue. The FAC coordinators can remove an unprepared nomination at their discretion after at least one reviewer has suggested it be withdrawn.
