Submission declined on 10 October 2013 by Gryllida (talk).I am providing more details below.
  • Copyright: not checked
  • Article layout and focus: Weak; see below.
  • Notability: Weak due to poor processing of references; article is excessively focused on description of the game, the thing the company is trying to sell, and reads a bit like an advertisement. The table with seemingly good ratings strengthens such impression. Such impression should never be there; Misplaced Pages is intended to be neutral.
  • References: References are insufficiently processed. The reviews should go to user reception section in the article, with documentation on the essence of the reviews, without the table; it is barely informative on its own.
  • NPOV / Neutral&encyclopedic phrasing: not checked
  • Style and formatting: good

Please don't read the banner above literally; the submission is not ready, and it being declined, even if multiple times, should not be a motivation for you to give up or be frustrated, unless you understand it fails to be notable per the documentation linked above.

Please look into these issues before re-submitting the article. Thank you.

SteamWorld Dig is a downloadable game developed by Image & Form for Nintendo 3DS, available on eShop. In the game, players makes their way down through a mine in a robot western setting.

Gameplay

SteamWorld Dig is a two-dimensional action-adventure game where the player controls Rusty, a robot who has just arrived at the small western town of Tumbleton in order to inherit his uncle's mine. The game mostly takes place in the mine, where Rusty digs ore which he can then sell in Tumbleton. Rusty can purchase upgrades to his equipment in Tumbleton for the money he makes. While exploring the mine, Rusty also finds various special abilities which are either new weapons or offering increased mobility. An example of the latter is the Steam Jump, an ability which causes Rusty to jump much higher at the expense of water. Water is a scarce resource which is used for several abilities and must be absorbed from scattered pools in the mine.
