hey

Hi

Rdos

I was banned from AFF. will come and join my forum at http://autisticsociety.info/smf/index.php

I was thinking of having a section called "The origins of Autism" and one of the topics would be your neanderthal theory.

Please do not remove tags placed in good faith.

Please stop removing Articles for deletion notices or comments from articles and Articles for deletion pages as it is considered vandalism. You may comment at the respective page if you oppose its deletion. Thanks.

Wiki for Engineering

Engineering Wiki is a wiki entirely dedicated to collecting information about Engineering. The Engineering Wiki is in early development stages at the moment. We invite you to help devlope this wiki.

Aspies' attractions to the Opposite Sex

: It wouldn't surprise me if that were the case. I've heard many describe slower maturation in Aspies, perhaps not being fully mature until their mid-30s. It would be a logical consequence of this slower maturation if males also were attracted to much younger girls. Besides, it is a general feature of all males to favor young girls. This is explained by evolutionary theory. --Rdos 18:44, 31 January 2006 (UTC)

You sound like a great guy to talk to about this. I cannot explain my unique issues here because this talk page is public (as is pretty much anywhere on WP) and I wouldn't want my reputation to be ruined, so would you care to email me at shultz (at) ksu.edu? --Shultz 08:13, 1 February 2006 (UTC)

The Neadethal theory link removal

I thought it would be better if I talked to you about this in private.I also have AS.:)

I will explain why I removed it not because it's not ture(I'am keeping an open mind about this theroy). But it seems like that people view of Neathderthals are these agressive,dim-witted brutes , beast-like,warroir's.I didn't want people to have a negtive view about us.I think it should be put back in when without autism people are more aware of autism and people know the facts about the Neandethals. It should also be reviewed by some paleoanthropologists just to make sure if there needs any corrections. Sorry for the trouble. --Scott3 04:00, 10 March 2006 (UTC)

Why so few Wikipedians are engineers?

I am trying to understand why there are so few Wikipedians who are graduate engineers. Once I get a grasp on that, perhaps I may be able to formulate some ideas on how to attract more experienced engineers to become Wikipedians. It would be very helpful if you would respond to these a few questions:

  • Are you a university graduate engineer?
  • Please indicate in which of these engineering disciplines you obtained your degree:
    1. Aeronautical or aerospace engineering
    2. Bioengineer or biological engineering
    3. Chemical engineering
    4. Civil engineering
    5. Electrical engineering
    6. Environmental engineering
    7. Mechanical engineering
    8. Petroleum engineering
    9. Other
  • In what year did you obtain your degree?
  • What attracted you to participate in Misplaced Pages?

If you would rather not answer these questions on your Talk page, then you may respond on my User talk:mbeychok page. Or you may respond to me via Misplaced Pages's email which I have enabled on my User:mbeychok page.

If you would rather not respond at all, that's fine also. Regards, - mbeychok 04:28, 4 May 2006 (UTC)

I have a MSc degree in Electrical engineering. I graduated 1987. I participate on Misplaced Pages to improve the quality and reduce speculations on the autism-related articles. --Rdos 08:01, 5 May 2006 (UTC)

Thanks, but please stop linking to your own site

Thanks for helping clean up the autism articles, but please don't link to your own site! You've been asked this several times, including deleted articles and on Neanderthal etc. etc. - and please don't accuse me of "bias" for removing it - someone else already said "sorry, promoting your web site is not a "point of view"" - if you REALLY want to please suggest it on the talk page - if people come to a consensus they will put in. Personally, I'd think it would be better if you would just forgot about it for now and continue to help clean up the articles :). You never know, someone might decide one day that it is quite worthy :).

Thanks again :)!

RN 05:14, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

Ryan, you obviously haven't noted that the other articles about asperger's tests were also added by site owners. Why don't you remove them as well? --Rdos 08:05, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
You are seeing enemies where there are none :) - if I havn't removed it, it is simply because I havn't figured it out yet and havn't had time to look into :). If something was added by a site owner, they havn't discussed it, and you don't think it is worthy, you should be ok to remove it :). RN 08:15, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
You see, that is the problem. You have been hostile to the Aspie-quiz for a long time, and thats why you removed it but didn't care to check up on the other tests that site-owners added. I don't think I should be the one that removes the Geek-test, because I think self-identification should be part of the article and you don't. I also happen to like AFF and I don't want to start a fight over it. It would have been far better if the self-identification article had been retained instead --Rdos 08:41, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
First off, please assume good faith - the only reason why yours is targeted quickly is because you've persistantly tried it for months here at seemingly any chance you get, not just your test site by your one on neanderthals etc.. This has nothing to do with "self-identification" - the article you made was, in addition to being totally unencyclopedic, basically a self-promotion vehicle for your own site, which is a blatent violation of WP:NOT (see the part where it says that wikipedia is not a soapbox). PLEASE stop looking for enemies around every corner, it is not condusive at all to conversation. I'm hoping one day I can work with you rather than against you with these silly skirmishes :). RN 16:54, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
Ok, I like the current situation a lot better, with *no* self-tests of any kind. You are wrong about me trying to reinstall the neanderthal theory. Apart from mentioning it without links in Causes of autism I haven't done much about it since the theory were deleted. I changed strategy and worked for less biased articles for a while instead. There is more to do about this, but I really don't have time to do it right now. --Rdos 17:42, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

Hi

Hi Rdos. You seem to have a large essay on your user page which contains much text from an article that was deleted last year (Neanderthal theory of autism). See WP:USER#What_can_I_not_have_on_my_user_page? - whilst this is only a guideline, the essay linking people with autism to neanderthals and chimpanzees is an opinion piece not related to Misplaced Pages or other non-encyclopedic material. As it's not a policy, I won't remove it, but I would like to ask politely if you would. Thanks. Proto///type 11:56, 21 June 2006 (UTC)

I'd rather not, mostly because it is encyclopedic and should be an article and because you just deleted a new incarnation of the Neanderthal theory of autism for no good reason. I had nothing to do with it's recreation this time, neither the last time. --Rdos 12:36, 21 June 2006 (UTC)

If it was encyclopaedic, it would be an article - as it was deleted, it's clearly not encyclopaedic. But I won't force you to remove it, I thought I'd just ask. I deleted a new incarnation of the Neanderthal theory of autism because it was a recreation of deleted material. Go to WP:DRV if you disagree. Proto///type 12:51, 21 June 2006 (UTC)
I am going to ask as well. Please amend your user page so as not to include this material, which I believe you are aware is seen as offensive by a number of editors, so this is a civility issue. WP:NOT a soapbox or a Myspace. You are free to link to your own site, where you may include any text you yourself have written. Just zis Guy you know? 21:42, 21 June 2006 (UTC)
Yes, but WP:NOT a soapbox does not apply to userpages as far as I know and my page certainly is not "Myspace". I'm merely including material that should be part of wikipedias article space. Also, in the guidelines, it discourages material that is not aimed to be edited. I do endorse anybody to edit this part of my userpage. That's one of the reasons I include it here. If it wasn't for prejudice, lack of understanding and lack of a peer-rewied journal article, it would be part of article space. I'm sure there will be a peer-rewied article someday because I'm working on it. Until then, I prefer to keep the information here so interesting people can read it. It's also at my site's wiki in case mods delete it here. --Rdos 06:36, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
It's content deleted by consensus, you appear to be making a WP:POINT by including it on your userspace, and some editors find your theory offensive. Please remove it to some space you own. Just zis Guy you know? 07:07, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
I find many articles on Misplaced Pages offensive, and I just don't demand their deletion. For instance, I found the Autism and Asperger's article extremely offensive when I got here. Since then the situation has improved (mostly because I moved the offensive stuff to less visited articles). However, the offensive stuff is still in Autism therapies and Causes of autism. I don't demand it's deletion because I'm offended by it. --Rdos 07:20, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
What goes in a neutral and verifiable article is different from what goes on a user page. You admit that there is no published source to back your assertions, yet you treat them as having equal validity with peer-reviewed evidence which you find "offensive". This is simply not how it works. In user space you should be civil (i.e. not offensive); in article space you should be neutral and factual based on reliable sources. What you have on your user page is neither civil nor verifiably factual. Just zis Guy you know? 11:31, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
I treat them with equal validity because the published theories of autism are inconsistent, narrow and basically useless. Publishing them in scientific journals doesn't automatically make them valid. The Neanderthal theory is backed up by Aspie-quiz to a large extent. While most studies on autism have groups of 10 to at most 100 participants, Aspie-quiz have more than 10,000 participants. Just because the results of Aspie-quiz haven't yet been published doesn't mean they are unreliable. Anybody can verify them as the source-code is open-source and the raw data can be requested from me. It is also possible to do independent validation. --Rdos 14:49, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
How convenient for you. Now please remove the offensive content from your user page. Just zis Guy you know? 15:25, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
You seem to be a poor listener. I thought that was an Aspie-trait, but then maybe not. Anyway, I think this discussion isn't going anywhere and I have nothing more to add. --Rdos 16:28, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
Interesting that the problem is always with someone else. You do not WP:OWN your user page, or any part of Misplaced Pages. You do not have the right to keep deleted content in user space (actually it's generally considered reprehensible), you do not have the right to use Misplaced Pages's resources to expound your unproven theories, and above all you do not have the right to cause gratuitous offence to other editors. If you do not like these restrictions you will find the door over there... Just zis Guy you know? 21:39, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
Try to put it into the other perspective for once. YOU don't own Misplaced Pages, and YOU don't have the right to freely delete other people's user pages or make edits to them. --Rdos 06:27, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
This is true, and is why I took the question to WP:AN. I do, on the other hand, have the right to prevent editors from insulting other editors. Just zis Guy you know? 06:58, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
How convienent. The same editor that participated in the WP:DRV also recommened the deletion. I've reported this to Misplaced Pages:Wikiquette alerts. Your actions are clear abuse. --Rdos 07:13, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

Legal threats

I suppose I could sue you for such insults.

Please do not make legal threats. Skinnyweed 00:18, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

Page protection of my user page

Just zis Guy you know? have deleted content and then protected my user page. He has in this process violated several Misplaced Pages policies:

  • Do not protect a page you are involved in an edit dispute over (page protection policy)
  • He haven't added it to Misplaced Pages:List of protected pages and given a rationale for the protection
  • He haven't provided any proof that it violates any rules in Misplaced Pages:User page policy
  • The talk page does not contain complaints against the Neanderthal theory from autistic users.
  • Most major autism sites offer a link to the Neanderthal theory, and thus it could not be considered offensive to autistic editors
  • The material about the Neanderthal theory is not a copy of the theory itself, but only offers a small summary of it.
  • The Neanderthal theory summary clearly is describing the main interest of the user, and thus is suitable for inclusion on the user page

--Rdos 08:32, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

I'm not involved in an edit dispute, I asked you in my capacity as an admin to remove offensive and previously deleted content - you refused, so I did it. You reverted, so I locked the article. The list of protected articles is maintained by a bot these days. As soon as you undertake not to keep reposting your unverifiable and offensive theory, your user page will be unlocked. WP:NOT a soapbox, or indeed your playground. Just zis Guy you know? 08:38, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
Wrong, you are involved in an edit dispute since your aim is to ensure that my user page should be free of content that I want to include on it. Your role as an admin has nothing to do with this. It is your personal feelings about the Neanderthal theory (as can clearly be seen in the above comments) that is guiding your behavior and not your role as an admin. Your admin priviledges merely makes it possible for you to ensure that your version of *my* user page stands. --Rdos 08:44, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
A second opinion: I saw this on WP:RFPP and just reviewed the deleted edits. I am in agreement that the content is inappropriate for a user page. It clearly constitutes soapboxing, and it will not be unprotected until you stop the same -- Samir धर्म 08:48, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
I cannot see how any of the deleted content could be a soapbox. Have you read what constitutes a soapbox? --Rdos 08:57, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
Don't patronize me. The page is inappropriate. Bring it up at WP:ANI if you have further issues -- Samir धर्म 09:06, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

At least Just zis Guy you know? have listed his vandalism at Misplaced Pages:List of protected pages now. He seems to make some progress in adhering to Misplaced Pages policies. --Rdos 10:33, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

Any time you want to stop digging is fine, the hole you're standing in is quite deep enough. "Fuck process", as we say in the rouge admin cabal. Just zis Guy you know? 11:19, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
Well, do you admins at rouge admin cabal have your own set of Misplaced Pages rules/policies? Would be úseful to know the next time I meet a specimen from over there. --Rdos 15:59, 24 June 2006 (UTC)

Page protection

I saw your complaint at WP:AN/I and came to check out the situation. I have removed the previously deleted content from your user talk page and protected it. Misplaced Pages is not your soapbox. Please let me know when you are ready to use your talk page without reposting material that has been properly deleted and I will unprotect it. Nandesuka 11:01, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

This is a warning ... please desist your disruptive activities at WP:ANI and WP:PAIN. It's clearly been explained why your proposed content is not allowed, and any further negative comments against other users will make you eligible for a bit of enforced cooling down time. Since this page is currently locked, please respond at my talk page. --Cyde↔Weys 16:39, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

Page now unprotected

I have unprotected this page. If you repost the deleted material here, or anywhere else on Misplaced Pages, I will block you for disruption. Consider this your final warning. Nandesuka 20:23, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

Sigh. Can these admins never do what they are asked to do? (see User talk:Nandesuka) --Rdos 20:29, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
Kind of depends who asks them and how. Just zis Guy you know? 20:57, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
JzG: why was it necessary to delink his website? Skinnyweed 21:26, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
I found things like this . I know of not articles at this stage for which it can be a reliable source. Just zis Guy you know? 08:44, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
My site cannot be held responsible for some Misplaced Pages-users linking to it. It contains a wide range of information and is not restricted to the neanderthal theory. You are clearliy using a spam-protection policy for what it was not meant to be user for. --Rdos 15:55, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
There are no articles for which it could act as a reliable source. I have removed it from multiple articles in multiple projects, some of no relevance whatsoever to the content. When a situation arises where this would be a relevant link (and that does not include talk pages) then we can revisit the issue. Just zis Guy you know? 21:10, 24 June 2006 (UTC)

Changing name of WP:ANI

Please could you not keep changing the name of this section as it is misleading and becomes hard to find. Skinnyweed 17:01, 24 June 2006 (UTC)

Silly rdos.net protection policy

So, User:JzG and his admin admirers thinks that somebody besides site-owner (which is me) should request the unlisting of the site from the spam-filter. This is really comic when it was inserted on the Kurdish people article by somebody else and the Neanderthal theory of autism was reintroduced by other users. But I guess the abusive admins will get their way, as usually, so I suggest people conming here to request the unlisting. Unlisting is done here (not at all obvious how to get there): --Rdos 06:39, 25 June 2006 (UTC)

Woot! Rouge admin abuse! The Evil Admin Cabal strikes again! Just zis Guy you know? 08:46, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
You know what? I'm gonna change tactic now. It is obvious that you are some kind of leader on Misplaced Pages, and that nobody dares to oppose your actions. However, there are places where you have no saying on content, for instance my website, and I think I'll create a Misplaced Pages-inside information article there about how Misplaced Pages operates and put some links to the history of the Neanderthal theory on Misplaced Pages, how policies are interpreted based on what people (admins) want to achieve and so on. As you might now, my web-site has high rankings on various search-engines. Hope you will enjoy! --Rdos 09:53, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
