I discovered this site while looking for civilized material to practice typing with. When I clicked the link to 💕, a logo appeared with ten languages around it. I began reading about the site and discovered that anyone can edit. I read more, got an account and found a few things that needed editing. I also found that because of differences of opinion, there might always be a few things that need editing. So I guess the point of this site is the editing itself, and the trusting of people. Also, it's got material to practice typing with.

Please do not remove content from Misplaced Pages. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you.
- That "extended cheatsheet" from meta does not belong there. It's for meta. Misplaced Pages already has it's own "extended cheatsheet". The "Editing help" link should lead to editing help, instead of that flawed cheatsheet. Remarks such as yours are considered to be vandalism. I will do any edit I feel is good, including shortening articles, etc. "Removing content" is what good editing is all about.--Chuck Marean 07:42, 2 July 2006 (UTC)
Your edit summaries of "Articles-not just the main page-appear on Google" makes absolutely no sense at all. I'll ask for a fourth time: Please Stop editing the help pages, your changes are not beneficial to anyone else. -Quiddity 18:06, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
- I will edit what I think needs improvement. I am currently, little by little, reading the help pages. They need improvement. If you will think about what I wrote, it's meaning is obvious: People might click the "Editing help" link under the help box. The "extended cheatsheet" from meta that was there isn't supposed to be there. It is actually copying "Misplaced Pages: How to edit a page" and is therefore redundant. It also contains misleading information. Since people who have never seen Misplaced Pages before would click the "Editing help" link, it should bring them to something better. My idea was it should go to the tutorial by way of the introduction, since most people who would click the "Editing help" link are people who have never seen Misplaced Pages before. The edit summary box only holds 200 letters, but what I wrote obviously ment the same thing. --Chuck Marean 07:42, 2 July 2006 (UTC)
- I am sure you're editing in good faith, and I happily and readily observe that you've made solid contributions to mainspace articles of late, but I must concur in Quiddity's suggestion that you discuss changes such as those Quiddity reverted prior to your implementing them (boldness needn't to equal recklessness). In any event, though, intelligible edit summaries would, I think, be much appreciated; perhaps I'm dense but, even as I think I might have some idea what you meant, your edit summaries left me altogether perplexed. - I gave my edit summary. The table doesn't get you to the tutorial. Search engines bring Misplaced Pages articles. Therefore the Editing help link below the edit box should bring you to editing help instead of the seminar table. You shouldn't revert pages. That's not improving pages.I will edit what I feel needs editing. I will not discuss my edits in advance. You are probably 8 years old. --Chuck Marean 05:49, 2 July 2006 (UTC)
