The Home Secretary, or more properly the Secretary for Home Affairs, is a position in the Ministry for Home Affairs in the Indian Cabinet. The Home Secretary works under the Home Minister and deals with the internal administration of the country, central police forces, domestic counter-intelligence, as well as supervision of the Indian Administrative Service.

The current incumbent is V K Duggal who succeeded Dhirendra Singh in 2005.
