Hi Gloss, due to your experience in editing professional wrestling related articles, I'd like to invite you to comment on the peer review for Money in the Bank (2011), which I have an interest to eventually push for Featured Article status. Thank you very much. starship.paint ~ regal 09:24, 17 July 2014 (UTC)
The Pinkprint
It would be appreciated if you looked over and voted on the move request for The Pink Print to the The Pinkprint. Up to this point there hasn't been a direct response as to which spelling was correct. Nicki Minaj herself clarified the question directly stating it was written, "The Pinkprint", (https://twitter.com/NICKIMINAJ/status/497117375712329728). Leave either your support or opposition for the move here: https://en.wikipedia.org/Talk:The_Pink_Print#Requested_move_06_August_2014.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Misplaced Pages appreciates your help. Full disclosure...I felt like you were talking down to me 6 months ago, when you suggested an "interaction ban". It was kind of like you were talking to me like I was a second grader, and I didn't appreciate that. That's why I said that Levdr and I could hash it out amongst ourselves. The problem is quite honestly on his end...he feels as though he has to be the end all-be-all of Misplaced Pages, and any edit I make has to meet HIS approval, and he hides behind the Wiki rule-book.
I don't go into making any edit looking to cause trouble...I make edits and add sources to back them up with the intention of adding legitimate info to an article to make it better. There is no way I can be wrong every single time (just about) I make an edit, because 9 times out of 10 (it seems) Levdr is right there "lecturing" me about "WP:This" and "WP:That". I mean really... That's why I feel he hounds me - so he can come off as the great Wiki Oracle, and I'm just supposed to genuflect at his brilliance.
The sock accusation just was the plain ol' last straw. He really feel he did that just out of spite, as any investigation will clearly show it wasn't me, and he knows it. It's the principle of the thing...he did it just to try to tarnish my character around here.
Vjmlhds (talk) 18:28, 29 October 2014 (UTC)
- You're claiming he's a bully. I agree with that. But what a bully wants is a reaction and you give into it every time. Ignore him, don't answer him. If there's a problem with a specific article that you're having a conflict with, bring it to that article's talk page and let other editors help in making the decision. Other than that, you can choose to ignore him and that's your best move from here. Gloss 18:31, 29 October 2014 (UTC)
- I understand all that, and I do try to avoid conflict with him. But you can only be pushed so much before you have to push back - otherwise you just become a sitting duck. Vjmlhds (talk) 18:56, 29 October 2014 (UTC)
- He knows how to make you mad. Don't let him get you mad. Don't go looking for conversations with him and don't reply to him unless it's on an article talk page. I saw recently you tried to thank him for his work on an article and his response was "I didn't do anything" instead of a thank you, or anything kind in return for your kind words. You really think you need to be interacting with someone like that? Ignore the bully and move back onto your usual work. Gloss 19:13, 29 October 2014 (UTC)

- In real life, the thing most bullies deserve is a 2X4 upside the head (numerous times)...just saying. Vjmlhds (talk) 19:21, 29 October 2014 (UTC)
- Gloss-- I did thank Vjmlhds for recognizing my work; I simply noted that I only actually created two of the three articles he credited to me (I'm not going to take credit for someone else's work). And if either of you plan to openly refer to me as a "bully", at least do me the service of taking your concerns to an administrator or some appropriate venue. You may also want to consider, Gloss, that Vjmlhds' attitude toward me is sometimes (but not always) hot/cold. At times, he is seemingly either accusing me of personal attacks, or showering me w/ awards and/or wikilove. It's precisely this type of impulsive behavior that contributed to my decision to open a case at SPI. Levdr1lp / talk 22:12, 29 October 2014 (UTC)
- @Levdr1lostpassword: Dude, I haven't given you an award in months, so don't act like I "shower" you in anything. I've always given kudos to editors who go above and beyond...it's called human decency. Nothing "impulsive"...you do good, you get praise, you do bad, you get called on the carpet. You did REAL BAD this time with the phony SPI accusation. And I'm telling you straight up - YOU ARE A BULLY, and at the end of the day, all bullies eventually get theirs. Vjmlhds (talk) 22:48, 29 October 2014 (UTC)
- @Vjmlhds: There was nothing "phony" w/ the case I opened at SPI-- but if an admin or clerk finds fault w/ my decision to open the case, I'm sure I'll be the first to know. As for the "bully" talk, fine, you have made your feelings known. All I'm saying here is that if you (or Gloss) has reason to think I'm doing anything seriously inappropriate, then one or both of you should "put your money where your mouth is" (to quote an admin at ANI), and take action to address the problem. That said, I think the rest of this discussion probably belongs at the ANI thread. While I don't agree w/ you, Gloss, I don't intend to clog your talk page. But I also couldn't just ignore this exchange. Levdr1lp / talk 23:02, 29 October 2014 (UTC)
- @Levdr1lostpassword: This will be my last post here (didn't mean to use this page for this), but it needs to be said...When you pick a fight with the devil, you're gonna get the pitchfork. Vjmlhds (talk) 23:09, 29 October 2014 (UTC)
Levdr, I'm really not all that concerned with the two of you and your bickering, seeing as I tried to help resolve it once and I have no intentions to help again. But in my opinion, you've been nothing but a jerk in your interactions with Vj, but truthfully Vj has acted like a child. There's really no need to drag this across the site and get others involved. Levdr, you know you've not been the nicest person to Vj and it's up to you if you plan on dropping it already or not (which I'm sure I know the answer to) and Vj, you know this guy gets on your nerves and it's up to you if you plan on following my advice and ignoring him (which I'm sure I know the answer to)... Gloss 01:32, 30 October 2014 (UTC)
- If it's permitted, I'm not necessarily opposed to withdrawing the case I filed at SPI. I honestly don't know if Vjmlhds was socking at Firelands or not. (FWIW, I think anyone who objectively reviews the case will find reason to suspect Vjmlhds-- suspect, but not necessarily conclude he was socking.) That said, "bickering" is one thing, while socking is something else entirely, and I would appreciate it if in the future you'd avoid conflating the two. And to reiterate my earlier point, if you have serious concerns about my actions and/or interactions, then please take them to an admin or some appropriate venue/board. Despite Vjm's claims of "harassment", I tried to be as thorough, fair, and evidence-based as possible when I filed the SPI case. I would appreciate (and expect) the same from other editors making serious accusations against me. Levdr1lp / talk 02:35, 30 October 2014 (UTC)
- I'm not talking about the SPI whatsoever. I'm referring to every single conversation you two have. No need to continue here, you two can resolve (or not resolve) your problems elsewhere. Gloss 02:38, 30 October 2014 (UTC)
- From this point on @Levdr1lostpassword: is dead to me. I will not go to his talk page, or even acknowledge him any longer. I learned my lesson. Being nice and cordial just doesn't work with some people. I let my anger get the best of me, but I never came into this with any ill will towards anyone, all I wanted was my name cleared from a bogus accusation of socking. Vjmlhds (talk) 02:44, 30 October 2014 (UTC)
- Gloss-- Allow me to clarify. Both you and Vjmlhds have openly characterized my actions as that of a "bully". My point is that, just as I did w/ Vjmlhds, you have every opportunity to address my inappropriate (in your view) behavior, including at the ongoing discussion Vjmlhds opened at ANI. (Incidentally, a CheckUser has concluded Vjm is "unrelated" to the Firelands sock(s). So there's that.) Failing that, your claims read as unsubstantiated at best. Levdr1lp / talk 03:15, 30 October 2014 (UTC)
- I'm not trying to convince anyone of my opinion and I don't know where you're getting that idea. I stated my opinion on my talk page and that's that. Gloss 03:17, 30 October 2014 (UTC)

Survivor non-free image
There is no way that the cast photo "significantly increase readers' understanding of the article topic, and its omission would be detrimental to that understanding." Adabow (talk) 19:40, 9 November 2014 (UTC)
- @Adabow: Care to explain why you feel that way? The Survivor season is completely about its contestants. The entire article discusses the contestants. The image portrays who these people are. Look at any Big Brother (U.S.) season. They all have cast photos, is that a problem as well? Big Brother 16 (U.S.), Big Brother 15 (U.S.), Big Brother 13 (U.S.), Big Brother 12 (U.S.), etc etc. Gloss 19:44, 9 November 2014 (UTC)

Harassment by an IP editor
I have blocked the editor who has been arbitrarily reverting your edits, as you can see at User talk:92.105.159.7. However, I see that the same person previously did the same things from another IP address and was blocked, as can be seen at User talk:178.199.182.16, so it is quite likely that he or she will come back on yet another IP address. If that happens, please feel welcome to contact me, as I may be able to block more quickly than a likely response time at Misplaced Pages:Administrator intervention against vandalism, if I am on line at the time. Survivor
Hey. So first off, I just wanted to say thanks again for giving me a chance with the whole "Days" thing on the list of Survivor contestants page. I promise that you won't regret it, since it's a nice addition to the page, in my opinion, once I fixed it up a little more.
Second, do you agree with my proposal that the Survivor: San Juan Del Sur page be locked until further notice (with perhaps a brief unlocking for the finale?), as a result of all the vandalism in the "Reception" section? It's just getting ridiculously out-of-control, and there are so many different IP's all getting involved, that locking it just might be a faster/more efficient solution than constantly reverting and reporting these people. Thanks in advance. 169.231.58.247 (talk) 06:55, 16 December 2014 (UTC)

Hunger Games' Connection to Battle Royale
Hi Gloss, and Happy New Year!
I understand why you took out my recent edits to Suzanne Collins' page, and I'm sorry that you had to spend your time to do so.
I would, however, like to include a factual notation on her page (with references to the major news outlets that covered this issue) regarding the similarities between her work and the original. Before my most recent changes to the Collins article, I had a slightly more tempered, cited (linked to news articles) version put up, but someone didn't like that, so it was removed as well. I responded with the version that necessitated your involvement. That was childish on my part and I apologize again. I do, however, think that the Misplaced Pages public has an interest in having that information linked right into her page, where Misplaced Pages currently mentions her "inspirations," with the only apparent source her own PR department.
Many thanks for all that you do for Misplaced Pages and, by extension, the internet itself.
Cheers,

New York Islanders/Matt Carkner
Hey Gloss, wanted to check why the newer photo I added for Matt Carkner was reverted? You didn't even use the new photo I added anywhere on his page & didn't give any reason for reverting. I had been planning to add new photos for the rest of the team after the game on Friday -- just wanted to make sure our lines aren't crossed. I realize you might like the off-ice photos from 2013 that are in there for a lot of the guys, but wouldn't it be more accurate to use sharp on-ice current photos? I am a photographer & want to help Misplaced Pages document NHL players with quality on-ice photos. Please let me know so I don't waste my time only to have my changes reverted... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tsyp9 (talk • contribs) 22:32, 6 January 2015 (UTC)
- @Tsyp9: I did give a reason, saying that the other picture from 2013 showed his face a lot better and his eyes were not facing the text in your photo, which, if can be avoided, should be avoided in the leads especially. Updated photos are always better, but only if the image is better. So if you get images that are updated and better quality than the pictures already being used, please do add them in! But the Carkner one.. you only saw 1/4 of his face and he was facing the opposite way of the text. Gloss 23:00, 6 January 2015 (UTC)
- Also, a lot of your images are really good. I hope you don't take it personally that I revert a few of them, with the reasons provided in my edit summary. If the previous image is better quality than the newer one, it won't matter that the newer image is more recent, unless there is a very big gap in time from when the pictures were taken. List of New York Islanders draft picks
Hey, Gloss. I've noticed there are several draft picks who never played for the Islanders, but had made NHL appearances with other teams (14 goalies & defensemen alone). Should there be some indications that these players never played for them or that some players re-entered the draft after being drafted by the Islanders? Just asking. Raul17 (talk) 02:56, 14 January 2015 (UTC)
- @Raul17: I don't think so, since the stats are just for their total NHL career and it never states that they played with the Islanders or not in the article. I based it off of List of Detroit Red Wings draft picks which doesn't say which players re-entered the draft. That one does have a color for players who played at least one game with the Islanders, but I'm confused about that one because there are some players who currently have an orange colored box, but would also have the "played at least one game with the Islanders" apply, and I don't know how to resolve an issue like that? I'm not sure if it's even necessary though, because there are so many different things you can shade the boxes for: "Played one game with the team" "Won a Stanley Cup with the team" "Spent entire career with the team" "Played a playoff game with the team" "Spent X amount of time with the team" -- so I figured only using one of those would be the best move. Gloss 05:18, 14 January 2015 (UTC)
- The "played at least one game" is awkward: Peter Mahovlich played 82 and 104 games in two tours of duty for the Wings! Dave Salvian just played a playoff game and never played in a regular season, should be tagged like that. As for Islander retiring numbers, #7 for Stefan Persson should had been retired!! The best PP unit in the expansion era and Persson's not in the rafters!! Okay, it's two in the morning!! Raul17 (talk) 06:56, 14 January 2015 (UTC)
