Pierre Ballester (*1959) was a journalist for L'Équipe from 1989 to 2001.

After 1998 he primarily wrote about doping, most notably the book L.A. Confidentiel, jointly written with David Walsh, about Lance Armstrong.

A defamation suit by Armstrong is pending against Ballester. One suit against Walsh has already been settled in Armstrong's favour.
