Unitarianism refers to forms of Christianity that deny the Trinity.

In nineteenth century America, Unitarian ideas took root in various Congregational churches, especially in New England.

In the mid-1900s, the American Unitarian Church merged with the Universalists, forming the Unitarian Universalists.
