The Philippine chimaera (Hydrolagus deani) is a species of chimaera native to the West Pacific. Sightings are rare and occur only on the upper slope at 469–770 m (1,539–2,526 ft) in depth. Males reach a maximum length of 67.0 cm (26.4 in) and females are slightly larger at 73.0 cm (28.7 in). Reproduction is oviparous and eggs are encased in horny shells.
