Tim McLelland (formerly Laming) was born on August 8, 1962 in Sheffield. He died in the Sheffield Northern General Hospital (Macmillan Palliative Care Unit) on November 6, 2015.

Tim McLelland was a celebrated aviation author, photographer and journalist. Self-taught with no formal qualifications, he went on to create over 40 different titles, which covered many different subjects.
