Hank Parker's Outdoor Magazine is an American half-hour outdoor fishing television series hosted by Hank Parker The show was created in 1984 by the team of Hank Parker and Michael Runnels. In 1986, the show was picked up by TNN, and stayed on the air until 2003. The show was picked up by the Outdoor Life Network in 2003, and ran until 2004. In 2004, the show was picked up by The Outdoor Channel, and ran until 2012, and then, on Pursuit Channel from 2012 to 2014, and then, on Destination America from 2014-present. The show was produced first by Parker/Runnels Productions from 1985 to 1998, and then, by Hank Parker Productions from 1998-present.
Format
During each half-hour segment, Hank Parker invites guests to share some of the most outdoor fishing adventures. Guests included Frank O. Hill, Larry Bird, Dale Earnhardt, Bryan White, and the Parker kids, and it shows Parker fishing in various locations. Each episode also featured many segments, such as "Kids Korner", "Tip of the Week", and "Tip of the Day". The theme music was composed by William A. Landers, who is known for using the do-do-do-do-do-do parts.
