I have also seen the changes of the account suspected of being me at "Esau" and "Canaan", and if I had been able I would have reverted them, because they are inaccurate.
That account is evidently someone interested in associating Biblical "Esau" with modern Europeans and "Canaan" with modern Africans. These types of things are known to be associated with "British Israelism" and similar garbage, which are things I do NOT accept - although I recognize what they are and would always revert such material myself. So no, that is not me. Til Eulenspiegel /talk/ 14:52, 13 October 2017 (UTC)

- Hello, Til. I hope you will understand that, because I only started substantial editing on Misplaced Pages after you were no longer officially with us, there is nothing personal about this. We've never had a chance to cross paths. But, on the other hand, because we have no working relationship, I hope you will not feel insulted that I don't have a real clear idea how much weight to give to your denial here. Another editor suggested the connection, and after digging around I found . . . well, what I've described on the sock page. If you'd like, I'll add a note to my sock investigation that you've responded on your talk page, so that the investigating admins can see whatever your side of the story looks like. - If checkuser is honest, I should be vindicated. Thinking about this more, there are other modern fringe groups all over the spectrum who incorporate claims about both Esau and Canaan's "modern identities", as disparate as the Nuwaubians but they are all ultra fringe claims with no real basis in actual recorded history. (I admit to being the anon who reverted him when he first showed up at Canaan in June, from my old cell phone, because the edits were so terrible) I see he also edited "Amhara people", and if he is from the Horn which is quite possible then the number of weird ideas he could be potentially be pushing just doubled. Another possibility that occurred to me is that someone is trying to impersonate me to make me look worse, but just not doing a good job. Til Eulenspiegel /talk/ 15:28, 13 October 2017 (UTC)
- In June he or she apparently reverted me there once while logged out, and I just traced it to Tel Aviv, note I am in the US Til Eulenspiegel /talk/ 15:55, 13 October 2017 (UTC)
