Revision as of 06:01, 17 October 2006 by 64.20.43.134 (talk)(diff) ← Previous revision | Latest revision (diff) | Newer revision → (diff)Literotica is best known for its message boards, particularly the unruly General Board, which has a reputation as a den for threats, cyberstalkers, blowhards, unprovoked and disproportionate verbal abuse, racial slurs and intentional acts of defamation. The General Board also has a reputation of bullying other sub fora such as the Personals, AmPics and Author's Hangout, among others. Some of the more disgruntled and emotionally scarred members tend to write poorly rated Literotica stories lampooning their abusers. The General Board is a lightning rod attracting various hackers, flooders cyber stalkers, and other types of online bullies looking for a fight. Of all the sub fora in Literotica, the General Board has the lowest poster:story contributor ratio of them all, and is strongly predisposed to hostility towards members who contribute long-winded posts for no other reason except that it takes more than a minute to read the resulting article.
ADDENDUM by LovingTongue:
Concerning disproportionate responses to perceived slights: the General Board is also known for making rape threats against women. Look to this thread for a clear example. http://forum.literotica.com:81/showthread.php?t=192645
Also, the General Board is known for scorned lovers posting their former significant others' personal information. That having been said, it is generally unsafe for any member to post any personal information, or to share it with others, due to the risk of betrayal.
