Why don't you guys leave your "Turkish cause" where it belongs?!!!

This is Misplaced Pages, an international platform, which is neither concerned with petty ethnical causes, nor adolescent POV. We want knowledge here and not a heap of unreflected quotations and personal interpretations. Who cares about your personal problems on this platform? If you have something to bolster your contributions with, in a pertinent fashion, quote your bibliographical sources with precision and hold the quotations against a contester's, saving the Misplaced Pages reader from your own sentimentalism. This is going too far. --LIGerasimova 00:22, 10 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Petition against LIGerasimova

Dear Ulvi, thanks for your support regarding LIGerasimova's personal attacks and insults on me and to a lesser degree on you and user Deli-Eshek. But you've put your signature in a wrong place. You should sign the petition under section Users certifying the basis for this dispute Thanks.--Tabib 20:01, 15 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Ah, so sorry about that. But, as your sock-puppet, does that really make any difference? Ulvi_I 20:37, 15 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Dear user,

Please stop falsifing my name and my signature. This will not help you. Science is something different than lies and childish games. It seems that it will take long time before you understand it, if it will ever happen at all. --Ulvi I. 09:31, 31 August 2005 (UTC)

Pictures of Nakhichevan

You said you had some pictures of the Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic. If so, could you please upload them to Misplaced Pages? Thanks! -- Clevelander 12:17, 21 October 2006 (UTC)

Your sources

I would like to know your exact source for this: Abu Alimuhammad ibne Muhammad Bal’ami; Tarikhnaame Tabari, Volume 1, Tehran 1366 (1987), Xabare gushaadane Azerbaijan ve Darbande Khazaran (The news of conquer of Azerbaijan and Darband), page 529.

If you have the book, I would like you to scan and up load the page, if you do not have the book, I want the link from the website you got it from. Thanks.Khosrow II 20:41, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

Re:Please help us stop the vandalism

I have protected the article for the time being. Also, I believe all parties have very strong personal point-of-views, however, I do not believe the edits are "vandalism" and I caution you against using such labels as it can easily be seen as a personal attack. I think the Azerbaijan issue is a content dispute rather than vandalism or bad faith editing on either party's behalf. Please try to focus on the content of the article rather than individual editors and personality issues. Sarah Ewart (Talk) 02:49, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

Please withdraw from this dispute

Look, I don't know who you are and to be honest, I really don't care. I just want you to cease trying to involve yourself in this dispute, stirring up more problems and simply allow Grandmaster to speak for himself. Sockpuppets are allowed in some certain circumstances, so long as they don't violate policy. It is not acceptable to use sockpuppets for voting or to try to give the impression that there is more support on an issue than there really is. And using meatpuppets for the same reason is also not acceptable. In fact, the Arbitration Committee has said, "for the purpose of dispute resolution, when there is uncertainty whether a party is one user with sockpuppets, or several users acting as meatpuppets, they may be treated as one individual." I am electing to follow this ruling.

I've reviewed all your contributions to Misplaced Pages and I find the following concerning:

  • A review of your edit history indicates that over the last 18 months, you have made a total of 49 edits, of which 8 are to articles (one article, in fact) and 4 edits to user talk pages (3 of which are to mine) http://tools.wikimedia.de/~interiot/cgi-bin/Tool1/wannabe_kate?username=Ulvi+I.&site=en.wikipedia.org
  • As per policy on Characteristics_of_sock_puppets, despite your low participation, you show remarkable familiarity with Misplaced Pages, various users, issues, and articles that you have never edited before.
  • In February, 2005, a week after your first edit and following a total edit count of 12, you found your way to Misplaced Pages:Requests for comment/LIGerasimova, where, as a new editor, you felt comfortable enough to provide the critical second person certification for the RFC, despite the fact that, as far as I can tell, you had never directly interacted with LIGerasimova, though you both posted on the same article talk page over a period of two days. It is clearly explained at the top of the RfC that each certifier must show they attempted but failed to resolve the dispute. You did not provide such evidence and, from what I can see, you did not attempt dispute resolution (a condition of certification). No one else was willing to certify or endorse the RfC and without your certification, the RfC would have been delisted. This completely invalidates the RfC and makes you look like a sock/meatpuppet brought in simply for certification.
  • You did not edit between August 2005 and September 2006, when you returned, apparently, to support Grandmaster against Khosrow.
  • Despite involving yourself in disputes and an RfC, you didn't make a single article edit until a week ago.
  • In one comment you state, "When I was informed about the discusions in this respectable forum." I take this as confirmation that you are, at the very least, a meatpuppet.

With regard to the comments you have left on my talk page, I find remarks like "may I explain it in simple language," patronising and unhelpful. I don't appreciate you using my talk page to talk down to me and insult other users. I'm done warning both sides of this dispute about personal attacks and will start blocking if it continues. I am going to regard any future labeling of editors you are in a content dispute with as "vandals" as violations of no personal attacks.

As I said before, I really do not care who you are or why you're here, but I am asking you to please refrain from involving yourself in this dispute any further. I would like to try to help Khosrow and Grandmaster, but your input is disruptive, misleading and unhelpful. Sarah Ewart (Talk) 03:51, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

Responces to both messages

Sarah, I just saw both of your messages. I accept the fact that I am new in Misplaced Pages, do not know how to use this webpage entirely and have very limited time. But I accept the terms such as "sockpuppep" and "meatpuppet" as insult, as much as you think vandalism in an insult. I have never been any of those. My full name is Ulvi Ismayil and just doing a research in the internet, you can find out more about me. I accept the fact I should contribute more and become a good contributor to Misplaced Pages, and will probably do so in the coming future. Using your talkpage was probably a wrong thing to continue disputes, and by no means I try to help GM. I have my own opinion and will post sources and answer the claims of Khosrow II.

Regarding LGerasimova, I do not know what you are talking about. I know the fact that this user accused me and even plagarised my name to say that I am "sockpuppet" of user Tabib, however, I am not familiar with the system of dispute resolution. I also do not understand what RFC is.

While saying "I was informed about this discussion" I was talking about how for the first time I found about editing/contribution possibilities of Misplaced Pages and since then I became a member. Again, I will be more active from now on, given the limited time I have.

--Ulvi I. 13:02, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

If you do not know anything about the LGerasimova RfC, then I strongly urge you to review your contributions to Misplaced Pages here: Special:Contributions/Ulvi_I. because you clearly certified the RfC here. If your account has been compromised, please change the password immediately.
I understand it is upsetting to be thought of as a sock/meatpuppet, however, you must understand how it looks to others when a user with only a handful of edits repeatedly involves himself in disputes involving the same people but doesn't make a single edit to an article for 18 months. Sarah Ewart 21:08, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

Thank you Sara, as you see, my account has not been comprimised. LGerasimova has created an account which looks like mine, but in fact it is not. Her "one" is Ulvi_I. whereas my account is Ulvi.I I accept your critisism in not being involved much, but I promise to change that soon. --Ulvi I. 09:59, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
