John Corrigan "Jonathan" Wells, PhD., is a Unificationist theologian, Fellow of the Discovery Institute's Center for Science and Culture, an organisation that promotes intelligent design, a controversial theory that life shows evidence of being designed.

Wells states in a c. 1993 essay that in 1976 after he decided that "Father's words, my studies, and my prayers convinced me that I should devote my life to destroying Darwinism".
